Friendly foes.

This afternoon, the Crescent Pirates engaged the Kingdom of Samurai in a naval skirmish. The skirmish was for the sake of practice, but got rather intense. The Pirates were true to their name, capturing ships left and right, but surprisingly enough, there was a fair amount of Samurai citizens who were able to sneak aboard unnoticed onto Pirate galleons as well. The fighting got so intensified, that Crescent Pires began to even inflict damage on a fellow vessel! Storms of lightning and hail poured down on the crews, brought on by onboard sorcerers, and when the first wave had been extinguished on both sides, another wave of Pirates stormed the isle. Citizens of Samurai scrambled to meet the rest with full force. The Samurai fleet was headed by Draven Cyrilin, who showed exceptional control of it, even when faced against intimidating enemies like Governor Steele, who headed the opposite fleet. Once the second wave ended, Shogun Zalinto arrived and joined Governor Steele on Nighthawks Isle to relax after the raging battle. There, several were rewarded for their bravery and cunning in the battle, and others were able to relax with bottles filled to the brim with alchohol. Drunk and hungover after the festivities, the two kingdoms departed, leaving a trail of calm wake behind them as they passed the wreckage of vessels they wrecklessly tore apart in the name of excitement, hoping to live and fight another day.

It was hella fun if you were there.

The Pirates have mastered their trade, the last ship I was on was ransacked by them and captured, but as they came by a fellow pirate ship we ran out of the cargo hold and opened fire with cannon on the real Pirate ship, damaging it and forcing them to destroy our old vessel rather than use it against us.

It's true the pirates entered the event with 8 ships and the Samurai with 3, but the samurai were able to build ships constantly throughout the event thereafter (and did so constantly), and had the advantage of being able to pull ships out their shipyard (while damaged pirate ships remained that way throughout the event). Otherwise, it would have been a very short contest, not one lasting about an hour. All in all, great fun and a distinct victory for the pirates, with the samurai nevertheless putting up a good fight.

I wasn't keeping track of that, but it doesn't matter anyhow. Don't count it as a victory, Cheops. This was for honing Samurai and CP's skills.

And CP agreed to hold the battle on Samurai seas, so it's not like they didn't know that Samurai could've built more. They were just a little... overmanned on their ships. (3 people on 2 boats, originally.)

I don't believe I was raising any complaints, just wanted to suggest that both sides were evenly matched. You're right, though, it was good practice for both sides and I wish we could see more of this on GK.
