temporary battle damage/scars

this thought just came to my head when in the art lesson in school while i was drawing my graal charater. if you get hit a lot of times, what would be cool, is to have a battle scar. This can be made so it uses the same spritesheet as the head, and the scar goes in the correct place on each sprite, but the head does not appear, so only the scar is not transparent in game.
it could work the same for bodies, so if you get hit a lot of times, it could ad this 'scar head' or 'scar body' or 'scar arm(s)' onto your character, so it will have a scar there no matter what th eclothing. it should only be temporary mind you like 2-3 hours

I dont really think the graal sprites are big enough for this to be worth it

Not to mention how much every sprite variates, it would be impossible to make an accurate scar to fit all heads (and future heards)

If staff won't even make each armour visible on the player, I don't see this happening.
