Me neither, starting in a room or the center of a town is getting rather old. It'd be nice if you fall from the sky on a cloud or something. Or maybe ride into town on a train.

there is no reason to have the owners in the starting room, i mean they have nothing to do with the plot or the game (shouldnt)

Yea, that's one thing I hate seeing in PWs is statues/npcs of the owners. It's like you walk into a new PW and you see the owners as if they were to say "We are the owners of this places so you must obey us!!" or "We made this server and we are better than you!!!".

Let meask you this....WHY ARE THEY THERE?
You don't see Stefan when you start on Graal2001. You don't Miyamoto(sp?) when you play a Mario game. They don't slap George Lucas's mug on the title screen of a star wars movie. So why do people need to see npcs of the owners/creators when you start on a PW?

This is why: They want recognition, or they just want to be popular.

A npc that welcomes the player, thats a character in the PW's plot?
Maybe a movie/intro that starts off the plot.
After all, in most games you play, you don't just start in an empty room staring at pictures of the owners/creators.
