:stumbles, falling to the sand beneath him, lips parched and dried, lack of water had drained his energy, and his eyes closed slowly, himself sucumbing to the darkness... slowly he fell unconscious, his head hitting the sword that had fallen from his hand, the angle of the blade deeply gashing his face, imbedding itself slightly before falling as well down to the sand, blood slowly seeping from the gash...:
"Boy... boy..." :looks to man beside him: "Is he alive? Or simply daft..." :smacks face trying to wake him...:
"Francis... the boy aint dead... why, look at that cut... he's probably been out cold for hours! 'Ought you think we get him inside?"
:nods with a small furrow of worry upon his brow: "Ar... come then, grab 'is legs.."
:slowly they pick him up, walking towards a wooden and stone cabin, door wide open and fire cackling, a wench sitting and tending to the fire beneath the pot of stew...:
"Whos the young'n... You old badgers didnt kill this one did you?" :she stands defensively, looking towards them both...:
"No wench.. tend to the stew, dont mind yourself in our bidness... Savvy?" :they let the boy fall onto the wooden frame that served as a bed, sitting down and working bandage around his face...:
~Hours later~
:in deep pain, he brings an elbow back, bracing himself as he slowly rolls, unknowing that he was on a bed, falling to the ground with a loud thump..: "Bloody.." :he slowly opened his eyes, noting that his left was covered with white cloth...: "Where... who the fu... ho..." :he was stupified, looking around his surrondings, he noted the wooden structure.. but before he could avast the strength to raise to his feet, the wooden door swung open...:
"Ahh! Boy... you've awoken... Vwas quite worried thar mate!" :the mans eyes peered down at him with care, but a cautious nature overpowered such look...: "Well... we saw you outside... bloody as hell... cleaned you up as best as we could, that we did..." :he walked towards a large pot, still steaming from its massed heat... he got a bowl, and filled it, clumsily spilling some onto the floor, grabbing a large wooden spoon, and walking back, all the time talking about how he and another had cleaned up the wounds...: "Ere mate... eat this and try to regen some strength... Somebody wants too see you..." :he bent down, wrapping an arm about my own, lifing me and backing me against the wooden frame, placing the bowl in my hand...:
"Ay..." :looking at the stew, it looked to be a mixture of things, good and bad... greedily, he took a large bite of it, gulping it down, and cough breifly on the scorching heat...: "This... is rat stew?" :the taste was vaguely familiar, his brother had cooked it before for him when he was ill...:
"Aye mate... Our captain here gave the receipe to a local wench... she comes aboot and cooks it up for us..." :he nods, walking about, grabbing white garments, a robe, underwear, then tossing it and a white cane to the floor...: "Get dressed when your done... the captain wouldnt mind seeing you..."
:my hunger drove me to stay awake, noting the garments i quickly ate the rest as I slowly raised to my feet, limping towards the garments and bending for the cane, using it to pick up the garments...: "White... something here is familiar..." :slowly dressing himself, he looked to the cane, using it to walk himself outside, shuddering at the bright sun...:
"Aye Matey! We're off to see the captain..." :he gave me a slow look over, noticing something, but holding it within..: "Now, my brother was quite exact in saying to bring you to his Quarters... so lets go, and no goofing... Savvy?"
:nodding, I began following him... as we reached one of the larger buildings, I walked inside... as I looked towards the rich paintings, and heads of animals upon the walls, I noted this was a rich mans cabin... likely that of a higher ranked pirate... as I looked towards the chair before the fire, I stopped myself in my tracks... White hair... gold tacky pants... and a scar upon the back of his neck... i stood stupified... looking upon the man with anxiousness, and caution...:
:turning in his seat, he looked towards me...: "Well... bloody hell... the sea must of choked on your bloody arse... Come 'ere brother!" :he slaped the pipe he had on to the chair and walked towards me, smiling and reaching out a hand, crushing my back with a hug...:
