Angry Dissappearing items

Well, i had a Orc helmet of ogma +3, i put it down in my house and it dissapeared without a warning
Dont tell me that i am a *******, but this is absolutely NOT good and fair :grrr:
First of all i would like to have it restored...
How the heck am i supposed to know that this thing just goes poof???
Second it would be a good idea to change that (dont make them dissapear or add some kind of warning)
sorry for being a bit unfriendly but i am PISSED!!! :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

just go back to ogma's alter and pray for it again. The items your god gives you cannt be dropped, traded or sold to another player.

in this case, you should only get it once...
when you recieve a gods item you cant get any items from other gods anymore (i know, its a suggestion but it fits into this threat)

It has always been like this (as far as I can remember) and I think it's good that it's handled this way. A god wouldn't want anyone who doesn't follow them to use their items and gain a benefit from them. Same with created food and starting stuff, otherwise people would use it to make money, which isn't the point at all...

Easiest way to prevent this: bring back locking items (it's in CF but was removed in GK). You would just say /lock <itemname> and it cannot be dropped (also gets an asterisk after the name to show it's locked), use /lock <itemname> again to unlock. /drop all doesn't drop it, if you tried to drop it, it says "This item is locked." Would prevent anyone from accedently dropping anything, including arrows, etc. Plat would have to stay unlockable, else you could prevent loss at a death.

CF=Crossfire, the game that shares its engine with graal (not share, they have the same engine aka mudlib i think)

CF. The source code is open though. There's a copyright thingy and some other stuff you can see here or here. I don't know if these have anything to do with anything else (I don't know much about legal stuff), but on an interesting note:

For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that you have. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.
where's this source code? I want to see it :P.

If anyone can make any sense of it (the second link) for me, that would be nice .

Locking items would be nice to prevent accidentally dropping. I think the dissappearing should be kept up though, as it has a point IMHO.

someone made a suggestion instead of offending me and calling me a dumb idiot... didnt expect that

God's items should be locked from the point where you get them...
still i would like to have the helm +3 or at least the EAs back
cuz there WAS NO protection yet
Everything i did was putting stuff from my inventory down...
