PKing.

There's gotta be something done about it. It's retarded.

You can't go anywhere near the unstick me place without getting PKed. It's just foolish. There has got to be penalties for PKers, that is why there are restrictions due to AP on most servers. I mean, it's just not good for people with mediocre computers. If you have some hot shot with 2.3 ghz, 128 graphic card 500+ RAM against your 1.3 ghz 32 graphic card 256 RAM how are you supposed to win? 2k1 was laggy before the 150+ playercount, it was hard for alot of computers to simply handle the server when it was gold. Please, for the love of God and in the interest of fairness, put a cap on PKing somehow.

I just lost like, frigging 16 apples and 11 gralat. That is NOT fun. That is STUPID.

Plan A: Pause Button.
Plan B: Get 100 AP.
Plan C: Run your arse off and hope you aren't killed.
Plan D: Fight back.

The pause button doesn't work if you want to MOVE. Try getting out of the God damned start location like that. I want to DO stuff, not spend 15 minutes moving so I don't die. It simply should have a cap, no new players will come if they just die when they try to explore.

I spend like 45 minutes growing apple trees and lost it in 5 minutes. Come on.

Then we run into problem two, when you try to fight back and hit some kid with like 80 AP you lose most of yours.

Why would you fight back if you have 100 AP? I just walk around and laugh at the PKers.

I personally thing the unstick me spot should be made no pk...Also maybe the whole town of Bomboria be made no pk. Pking on 2k1 is very annoying especially when you work for hours to get money and then lose it when you have to say unstick me and get pked like 20 times before you get out the door. Protagonist is right.

The PKing at the admin house is good at least for one thing.
It discourages people to use unstick me as a means of transportation.

pking needs no restrictions as you can pause anyway. so really unless ur slow to hit the p key you should be fine.. and in spar areas it doesnt matter anyway.

The reason why Graal was so laggy was probally because 5-10% of the players were running off AOL.

Better yet, if your an RPer, wait for Kingdoms to come out. Kingdoms are generally safe areas from PK. If anyone would care to Pk in such an area, not only would they have to get in, they'd have to get out, facing down an entire kingdom sometimes. Then if they do survive, there's always dealing with both myself and the police. Transaltion= dont pk in RP zones.

Also, please dont RP anyone on a staff tag. It annoys people. A lot.

In any case, 2k1's quality has degraded greatly from when it was gold. You'd have a few people(1 or 2) PKing outside of events and the rest would just be having fun. Now half of the server is PKing to get easy money and items. Gee, what fun. That's why UN doesn't have you lose money, people who work for it don't like losing it in 30 seconds to some T3 super-computer slacker.

Having a computer built out of parts from the last 3 to 4 years is nothing near a super computer, dawg, and unless your computer is an eight year old hulking behemoth you should be perfectly fine.

In that case proportions did not matter, because you could run away without running into yet another PKer.

2k1 isn't an RP server, no. It ideally isn't a PK server either. There are two popular PK servers already, and two popular RP servers. We don't need a 3rd of either. 2k1 should be unique, not a cliche.

Too bad the economy can't properly work due to the fact that there is unlimited money. If there was a set amount of money, then you would see a real economy. Unfortunately, there can't be so that new players are able to get money off the bat *sigh*

But... That gives opening for players to work for other players. Players could start businesses, paying other players to work for them. If they are unfair, they can bring it up with the Economics Admin. Then there could be a courtroom lawsuit type thing.

But no, that would be too tough for the little kiddies.

There doesn't have to be a set amount of money. The staff simply have to be on the ball when it comes to inflation.

So it is good that the economy is dependent on the staff? I think the economy should be able to fuel itself, not be on puppet strings of the staff.

1. There could be conflict of interest, staff unavailable at given time when needed, and people would have reason to complain to the staff (for the staff would take responsibility)
2. My point is that I don't agree with the staff always controlling the economy. It makes the players just puppets of the staff. Having a set amount of money in the world would make stuff worth more

With a set amount of money, you'll end up with 66% of the money in the hands of the five richest guys. And half of what's left sitting on innactive accounts.

And inflation isn't going to shoot up in 3 days. The staff just have to gradually up the prices/payouts of things to give new players a chance.

PKing is basically stealing stuff from other people. Some of that's ok but God damn I'm sick of losing stuff I work for to some idiot loser who sits inside the admin house or by the drasine tracks.

I just laugh at people who try to PK me. While I do spin away when hit, I don't get hurt, and it's rather comical.

Have people with money be taxed, having the tax money go to the npc's that pay you for bread, etc. If 5 rich guys do get 66% of the money, wouldn't they have earned it? If nobody does anything to earn money, then how is it the 5 rich guys' fault?
