Graal is configured to use as much memory as possible, as are a lot of games and emulators in particular. This allows them to move faster as, if they're using twice the memory, they only have to "garbage collect" the active memory half to n-root of the time (and as a constant time operation). If you open another application, then Graal, Graal will take as much memory as it can and Stop. If you open two instances of Graal (at least on my computer), one will work fine and the other will open in Low Resources Mode - Light effects disabled.
If this really makes you cry, open Word, Excel and Access, then Graal. Woo. Less resources for a dynamically allocated program. Rejoicing. |
