We are still working on it,..
Story:
Your the average boy that lives in the town of Decatur. You live with your father and daughter. The town of Decatur is large and consists of many neighbors. Above the town lies Decatur Height's. Decatur Height's is where many of the people of the town can gather and view gorgeous scenery of forest and mountains. Your town is secluded, and unaware of the outside. Although you can leave, the journey is far to long for any town-person to travel. The occasional wanderer passes into Decatur while on his/her journey. The town-folks treat him/her with a place in the inn and food, because they respect any person that can make the long travels.
On the second day of the third month an odd traveler approached the town, Jeafler, was what he asked to be called. He bore a teal cloak and was covered in mysterious jewels on every part of his cloak and body. The night he slept in the inn, a storm overpassed the town. You dreamed that night, something you've never experienced, or could ever relate to. The dream seemed almost real. In this dream, you saw a town, nothing like Decatur, and your sister, the odd man that was dwelling in your town was hovering over her. You suddenly awoke. You made haste to the inn to see that the man was gone, leaving a jewel on the nightpost. You grab the jewel and hurry back home to insure your sister's safety. She as well was gone.
The dream was the only thing that made any sense. No one knew where the girl or the wanderer went. You spoke to your father, he knew he could do nothing due to his age. The town-folks were still hesistant to travel that far. You only chance is to set out and leave your abode to find your sister. You can either set east, or set out west. North will lead to nothing but Decatur Height's. Which way you choose depends on the knowledge you can acquire. Dreams, will lead your way.
Gameplay:
Your first priority is to rescue your sister. This will be noted as a advancement objective(AO). In order for you to advance you must complete each towns objective. You can leave Decatur and head east or west, but at the town that resides at the end, you cannot leave until you finish Decature's AO. Normal people of the towns cannot help you, as they are ignorant to the fact of what is going on. In order for you to really get tips on what to do, you must enter your dreams. In your dreams you will be extremely strong, because of course, these are your dreams. You will wield the strongest of weapons: "Dream Catcher."
If you die in your dreams, you will awake, and will have to repeat the dream again. The occasional "nightmares" will occur. In these nightmares you will have to defeat multiple enemies, defeat the nightmare causing the evil dream, and retrieve the invision piece that resides after the nightmare. If you want to step away from the main storyline, you can do multiple side objectives(SO). These are jobs given to you by the people that live in the towns you venture into. You can relieve them of their issues and gain some sort of prize. Although these are SO, they can consist of many steps, and/or advancing to the next town.
Action:
Fighting will be divided into the player and the weapon. Not only will you have to deal with levelling yourself up, but also leveling up your equipped weapon. The reason of leveling up your weapon is not to make it stronger, but to unlock its abilities. Each weapon can house up to 2-5 abilities. You may have the "Interk" which is a strong weapon that can pull a 4 step combo(swords can only combo when they have the ability), but you can also choose the "Locknet" which is fast and has block and lock-on. These abilities will lead to making the player choose the best approach with weapons. Weapon status will only consist of:
Attack.....(AT)
Speed......(SD)
Defense....(DF)
Defense will only be used with weapons with defense attacks such as counter, block, dodge, and so on. It will display a defense bar, and when that bar is fully depleted, you can no longer engage in defensive attacks.
You can also focus on your players overall status. These stats will be an addition to your weapons strength. After every enemy defeat you will earn experience points(EP). This will appear in your menu as a selective button. You can then divide them between you and your weapons. These are your personal statistics:
Attack.....(AT)
Magic......(MG)
You can also junction temporary attachments to your weapons. These will raise the weapons stats until the weapon levels ups, when that happens the junction will be lost. Also, if you are hurt, you can also drop your attachment, and it cannot be retrieved again. Although your stats rise from these junctions, you will not learn any techniques with them attached.
