Safe Trading

Well even though this was added people are still getting scammed.. and why? because of taxes.

The taxes are fine on small trades, because small amounts are taxed. But because there are taxes of 500 platinum or something for larger trades, the very problems with valuable trades that safe trading was supposed to help against have actually caused more problems.

Nobody wants to pay 6000 platinum for an item they want to buy for 5000, and no seller really wants to reduce their price so that with tax the price is what was offered. The problem resulting from this is people still use unsafe trading for much more valuable items and amounts of money - causing so many scams that we can see as a daily occurence on Kingdoms. True, some people are too trusting or don't realise that they are being scammed and most agree that it is their own fault. But it doesn't seem right for a player to lose something because they didn't want an extra charge for items that they buy, and then tell someone about it and most often, be insulted, making them even more upset because in some cases the item(s) or money can be very hard for the player to get. It isn't real money or items, I agree, but it is most certainly real time being spent to get these things.

Some will argue that the kingdom islands with 1% tax should be used. I agree that this is much better, but it doesn't solve the problem of less experienced players spending all their money on a scam on the main island.

I suggest that some things can be changed to help the problems of the safe trade system.

1.Taxes should never exceed 100 platinum coins, or should at least be lowered on the main island so newer players can safe trade without trouble.

2.Instead of just Money items should be included in the safe trade system, so that you can trade items for items rather than items for money, because plenty of people do this and the safe trade doesn't support item for item trades. Items would have the advantage of not getting taxed OR their shop value could be taxed.

3.Also, market stands could be added to main island to allow safer selling of wares to players.

Just some ideas goin on in my head, if i have mentioned something thats already happening/happened or i've missed a thread the same as mine then sorry =x

Why don't people just use trading islands where the tax is lower?

Because it costs money to ride the ferry an newbs can't handle dungeon walks.

Well if they're newbies then they can hardly afford the rare items which cost thousands.
And if they can't I'm sure the price of a ferry ride won't put them too much out of pocket.
People should just stop being so damn lazy and use the market stands.
