Small update on PW things

Just thought I'd post an update so people don't think the PWA is totally dead:

1) Everworld has passed review #1. I haven't seen Toran on aim for quite a while, but as soon as I do, he'll get Everworld and he will begin reviewing.

2) Currently I have the levels for X Online from Menace, but I am missing text files with info, graphics and ganis. I still need those. I'm sure you'll get in touch with me via aim to send me other things and arrange that. After X Online I will be reviewing Nolavario again, then I am free. If Nolavario can send to Torankusu, that would be a good idea.

3) Yeah, I do think the PWA needs one more reviewer for offline servers. I'm not planning to hang around Graal forever, and I don't know about Toran but I haven't seen him much, so we should hire maybe 1 or 2 people to "train" so they know what they're doing. Again, I think we should, I didn't say we will. I have to talk to Nemesis about that

4) Half the time people ask me questions it's "How can I get a private server?"
I understand the need for people to do their scripts online so they can do them more effectively and effeciently, but I don't have a means of accomplishing that. Maybe people, like the Renegade staff, will screw us over once they're online and make their "real" server, starting from scratch and everything. So it might be possible I'll ask Stefan if there can be a special private playerworld where people who prove to me that they are capable will go online, make their scripts, test them etc so they can do work much more effectively. It's an idea, still in it's primitive stages.

That's about it for now. Looking forward to Cynical's release soon. At least I hope they don't screw the PW team over by releasing, then going to private in a few days to re-do everything

Yeah I agree, you could possibly need a few people to help/train up. As at the moment the current team are busy with graal and with their real life, and like you said, they are also getting older so have less time for graal. Also the timezones (Im not sure but are you all American? I dont know, but thats a point that you can look over)

The idea about the sort of ''temp'' PW would be good, as long as the PW team looked after it, as it could get corrupt/crowded. I mean you can give them all their own folders, and then we come to NC problems, I would be cool if there were NC Rights so people can only view/edit/add certain NPCs,

Like:

rw NC/cynical*

So they would only see the cynical NPCs that way it woudl stop theft. Also to stop it getting crowded, there should only be about 3 accounts aloud on from each PW.

I'd like to see X agian, but as long as all bugs are gone, and practically ALL of the things were amde better/changed. As lets face it, they didn't like what was there before so if its just a few more NPCs it wont be very popular.

Yea its a real pain to work offline its hard to communicate and to see what others are doing.

For the recruiting I don't think we're going to accept applications or anything like that. You'll get contacted if you're going to get hired (at least that's how I was, anyway).

Torankusu, Vermain, Jinx, Aftershock, and Urizen (Playerworld Inspectors/Reviewers): These guys will inspect playerworlds for copyrighted material and such if asked to do so, and will review playerworlds.

Thats still the announcement, and Hasn't Jinx, Vermain, Urizen and Alkaren quit being part of the PW team?
