Unlike most playerworlds/servers up, they either focus on RPing or PKing, Rhune's main focus is both. Countless mazes and puzzles are contained within intricately designed dungeons and landscapes. Rarely has an action-RPG required the gamer to possess above-average gaming skills. With Rhune, you'll most likely find yourself camped out near your computer, attempting to solve riddles and quests that range from slightly difficult to thorughly rigorous. The variety and range of tasks always keep gamers thinking and acting in a methodic fashion, which provides a challenge not found in most average games. It's for this reason, that Rhune provdes a refreshing change from standard playerworlds.
The server's story provides an interesting backdrop to the action, and Rhune staff have included just enough humor and character development to incite interest in all of the game's events. The "War of the Magi" has begun again, just as it did thousands of years ago. The people of all nations prepare to fight to save their homes, their lives, and their freedom. Ironic enough, the races have long been divided by hatred and prejudice. Rhune is centered around a somewhat dark time, the land you travel has become plagued with despair and death in the form of dreams. You've reached 16 and you can now join the kingdom's forces, but which one will you enlist in, are you even prepared to battle and protect your territory? The character creation system offers you the choice of selecting a "gender", "race", "class", "kingdom", and "path of fate." These variables are the deciding factors that make or break your character. The more you play and learn, the more powerful you will become and this fate will set you on a road to cofrontations with combat, evil, and other discoveries. The tone of this playerworld is fairly serious, but it works well and never interferes with the real thrill of Rhune; action and adventuring. For every big task or maze that is completed, you'll receive new items/info that allow you to further your exploration of the server's massive landscape. For instance, after defeating a certain boss, you'll obtain some equipment that gives you the power to navigate the waterways of the of Rhune's world, opening up new areas and giving you access to otherwise unobtainable items. Rhune's real strength lies in its incomparable gameplay and challenge, which stands as a true testament to the game's real appeal. Providing a truly refreshing change of pace to the standard playerworlds, Rhune is an action-RPG that demands as much skill and time as involvement.
