Here's an expantion on that idea:
Each Kingdom would have to appoint an Artifice and a Relicsmith to create their mystic relics. The relicsmith crafts the actual item, determining it's overall power, how quickly and easily it can be stolen, color, etc. And then the artiface enchants the item so that it has it's magic-he chooses it's effect, like it could generate money, accelrate stamina for it's sphere, allow those near it to regenerate magic, or a couple others. Of corse, the costs for both of these activities is great, crafting a relic might take several thousand minerals, and enchanting it might cost the artifice all his magic for, say a real week. But then you'd also have to add a new buildable building-shrines. |
