Mapping Question

I know how to setup the txt file and all for the maps, and set map so it can be viewed by pressing 'M'. but then i do the following:
setminimap minimap.png,map.txt,mapx,mapy; and i don't get ne thing. The minimap disapears and it doesn't display. Should i specify and x and y for it or what?

make shure u did it correctly:

place all the levels in the folder with the map file. the file needs to be bigmap.txt or it wont work. open a level and press M. save the img in the same folder as the levels and it should work
