Graal as we know it

To: Graalonline Staff, Playerworld Staff, and Players.

Hello, im sure you may have seen my post before, or maybe played on graal around me or with me. This thread is just a topic that I have chosen that describes my feelings upon graal.

When I first started, Graal seemed very cool. I started in 1998 by the way, Graal 1.29. Anyways, I just mainly played on Bravo. Now what im trying to get at is the fact that Graal has come along way. But, as good as you may all think graal is, it has 1 major downfall. Graalonline Staff.

Now, This isnt just going towards the "Guild Administrator" to to some others that I have seen. As you may know, we pay to play graal. Therefore it should be as "PROFESSIONAL" as possible. Why pay for a game that is poorly run, and is just very bad. Basicly what im saying is that why should I pay for another acount when mine runs out. So far, the last month I have been just getting problems, after problems.

About Staff, Playerworlds I think they have the right to hire anyone they want to really. But Graalonline staff, you guys need to hire better people. Make new standards, like maybe you have to be 18+ to be one. After a series of tests to see how smart, and relaible they are.

Playerworlds, if its bad, take it off. After all playerworlds do effect the graal image you know.

P2P, I do realize that Stefan basicaly had to do this. And I respect the fact that he had enough balls to do it. I work for Internet Company, and I do know how much it costs for fast connections, and what its like to host a server. Or even debug a 550,000 line code. Its not easy.

What im basicaly saying is that you guys should get new staff. The guild administrator Poizin is just doign a horribal job. Some others are never on, they only come on for like an hour a day. Others wont even answer you when you IM them. Some just get really pissed off and tell you to shut up. Is that really Graalonline material?

Maturity. Alot of graalonline staff are like 13, maybe 15. Some are 18 and they are the good staff members. Maybe make a age limit, it will help out alot.

Anyways, im saying that if there is no fixes to these problems, im out of here. There are much better games to be playing, or better things to be doing. I have been playing graal for a long time. And graal2001 is amazing, but poorly running.

So, pretty much you just lost a good customer.

I don't think age matters. I know some kids that are smarter than post-teenagers.

Well,

Then make some amazingly hard test or something. Or even a phone call?

Maybe make a Full Fledged Liceance Agreement that your parents or yourself if your 18 must sign. And make alot of agreements.

Like this needs to be fixed, it is just horribal. How can a great game be running on a bunch of stupid quacks? Especially when you are paying for it. EQ dont have problems like this, UO dont have problems like this. Why dont I just go play that?

Dont get me wrong, im not trying to diss graal. Graal is a sweet game, and a great community and will last a long time. Just so aslong as STefan keeps it going. But stuff like this, you will lose costumers everyday.

Do you think graal would be good with a low population? I think not.

lol

Well with my guild, it was just taken of the que for some stupid reason. And note that im not an idiot, I only clicked it once.

And I got no responce from nothing, I contact him and he yells at me. This is going no-where really, and Guilds are a big part of graal. And now we cant even form them? or only Special ppl can.

This is really Annoying. I still have like 400+ hours left. And its most likely gonna go to waste, feel as if I wasted my money on graal. =/

Even though I like it alot, and love to support it.

...The problem isn't in the so called "small" staff members, (most) of the police are doing a great job, (Alkaren, however, isn't). The real problem is with the people managing the staff.

Okay, then go on classic and meet those little 12 year old *****s. Be patient enough to teach them everything.

You know what? I think you should help my brother understand Graal. He's pretty young, and he's a newbie. So why don't you give him a chance and respond to his PMs?

Yea..

Well, constructing a Base like Stefan has is really hard to do. You have to look at all the problems that may occure, wich I think Stefan may have had difficulty, or maybe just didnt do it.

I dont know, but I just want to see graal go far, and I think that the way its going now it wont. Its getting alot of Development, but these Staff Issues need to be fixed.

Dont Critic me to ****!:

Personaly, I think I could do a wonderful job as a Graalonline Staff member. That is my opinion, im 18 turning 19 on Nov 16. I have been playing graal for 4 Years. I have seen the ups and downs. I work from 9am to 6pm, have from 6pm to 12:00am to put to good use. I am a IT Grahpic/Webdesigner, but you dont see poeple like me with Graalonline jobs. Im not saying (HIRE ME NOW!! LBAH LBAH LBAH!! IM LEET) Im just saying, there are very few talented people that are graalonline staff, or that put alot of time into the game, and community its self.

Toran..

Loriel wrote that?

That is sad, he was one of the "GOOD" Administrators I was gonna talk about.

List of Administrators that are worthy:
Galen: One of the best Admins ever to hit graal
Unixmad: Good guy, polite and nice
Stefan: Very busy, but nice
Lorial: Thought he was a good admin till I seen that txt file
Nemesis: Good, but never answers IMs or PMs
Zorro: Very good Administrator
James205: Dont like him that much, he was polite but then he spazzed on me and blocked me.

Sorry, but graal is a problem, its poorly run, very poorly run. I know its not stefans fault, and have never said it is but most of the players just spoil it for the rest of us.

*is glad Birdbird_0 mainly develops and manages development rather than Administrate very often*

I can administrate on 2k1, and I do when the players need something, and If I can't help them than I redirect them to someone who can.

Now the thing I'm confused at is this:
What have the staff done so wrong that makes them bad, please tell so we can actualy work on it

Most of the positions are not going to be handed out to random people that say they can handel the positions, the people in those positions handel alot of adinistraton that deal with accounts that people paied for.

Are you guys just complaining because you broke one of the rules here?

Tell us directly whats wrong so we can improve or fix it.

If Staff were to be as you wanted it to be, there would be an application such as going to work for a job, but unlike any other job, this job requires you to learn how to do things on this game that no one teaches, its hard to find anyone with the requirments needed that are over 18 and willing to work on this game. Heck, most teens get jobs at 15 and older for more money, and that takes a certain amount of responsiblity, three years of birth date does not mean much.

Than the whole thing of gettting paied for the job.

(how does that work, you live in the USA but work for a componey in france...wts how you get paied!?)

Yea

Well, mainly I think the problem is that Graal wasnt planned out as good as it should have been. And for players, Players should not be able to ruin the game peroid. Maybe make stricter rules that would stop them from doing such a thing.

I think a lot of people do have a lot of respect for you, mainly because you do work hard.

Maybe i have broken a few rules, maybe more than a few, ive never denied it, but you learn from your experiencs and want to advise other people on them. But how can you when as soon as you **** up once hell youre only human not many admin or staff really give a toss about what you have to say. Really thats all i ahve to say, make graal a more player based environment where we get a say in what you do to our game. Because really without the players the game wouldnt be much fun.

Yes the staff is not organized perfectly.
If possible all problems should be solved
in-game, instead of having admins needing
to fix stuff with RC. We have too many admins
with too many powers, while other people
want to do things but don't have the right
powers to do so. A major problem is the
global guilds system, like I wrote some
months ago it should be remade, or possible
have better local guilds management.

We will try to organize the staff better,
although we will probably not do it in the
same way like EA
(they make millions of $ loss each mont
with their online games).

Didnt know that. Im just trying to show some problems if you guys didnt know them already, but im sure you guys do. Just hoping you can fix them equally and make it alot better for us. That way we can enjoy ourselfs. I do understand that Hosting a game like this is very very complicated. Just hoping it will improve.

Like I said before, Graal is a great game, and has alot of chances to be number 1. Just need to fix alot of problems first.

Online Game

Yea. I like playing graal for the fact that you can make your own levels and playerworlds. It helps me to improve my skill on it.

I am working on my own online game. Its similar to graal, but 3D. Im using the Cyrstal Space 3D Engine with Delphi 6 and VB. Alot of work, but I dont expect it to be done for ages. My boss is helping my program it. Hes Microsoft Certified

The 'Admins/chiefs' were supposed to get one, but I don't see a need for one.

Reese does NOT need RC at all.
