unixmad has a little hat with all the names of the people on a certain forum in it. He draws names to determine who is the first one listed, he just lists all the others randomly.

That's how.. it adds to the "users in forum" list when you enter the forum, and removes you when you leave.. so basically if you're name is the third up there, you're the third person to come to that certain forum out of the others.
