Tileset idea

Well, we all love the amazing online editor! But heres a thought for some of you. How about this. When we lay a tile, the tile we lay appears with an animation. This is just for fun obviously and utterly pointless, but i would really like this feature to be added. The animations could be appear with a fade in or make spin and grow. I don't know. But i would be amazed if some one could actually script this. Thanks

I honestly don't what 'amazing' online editor all the newbie devs are putting on their server, but I'm interested in seeing the script.

im no scripter, but i don't think a title can be animated. Most animations are images. I can only imagine the lag of an animated tileset.

Well, I essentially hacked it into my script...

It destroys any functionality the script would have otherwise...

Its utterly useless, as you can only lay 1 set of tiles at a time (no drag draw) due to the animation...I could have made it better, but I got bored, so I just threw it in there.

So yeah...its basically a nonfunctional tile editor..but it has a cool placing animation?

What is wrong with creating levels online :'[ ?
For some people it is the only way. :o

Mac users have to do some odd stuff trying to get Gonstruct, after it told me I needed an apple developing account or something strange, I knew Gonstruct wasn't for me. I've taught someone a lot of things what I know about level editing online, and hes gotten pretty good... of course he can use the offline editor too lol..

I do wish they would put a longer coded editor up though.. I tried to see what it was doing so that I could organize it to have the tiles all together in themes.. I was doing it for type1 until I realized the hard way there are more blocking tiles then there are spaces on type1. :C

Because I honestly can't see the code and understand at all what it means. I was looking for tile arrays lol
