How about this?

You know how there are hats and stuff that can be shown over the players heads and everything, well how about Tails for those who like to play an animal character..
There are a lot of people using the Kitty heads, and I also play as a Fox, (as if my sig didn't give anything away).
So I was thinking if there would be a way to add in tails...
You could have a template for them and have them wave as the character walks, then people could design a large amount of different tails...
I think they would be easier than hats because some hats don't look good on some heads because of the strange shape of the head, but almost all the bodies are the same shape...(obviously the only body that doesn't need the tail is Staffbody.png, but even with that one, you are restricted to one type of tail...)
Oh well, just an idea of mine to help the furrier players of Graal...

Hehe... I thought it would be a good idea though, I don't know what type of coding would have to be added though, probably not much different from the hat system, just show the image in a different place....

That would be interesting. We could have different kinds of tails, I guess. The only problem would be making it match up to different bodies (not to mention different clothing colours).

instead of calling them tails, call them back shields. you could use them for tails, wings, a little arrow holding thingy (cant remember ) or maybe even a back pack.

Hmm... that could work, and the wheat basket already shows behind you when you're wearing it, so all you would have to do is make gani's like the wheat basket I think...
(btw...an arrow pouch is a quiver...)

In the back pack you could store a few gralat some arrows and bombs. So when you die you don't lose them.

Hmmm.... I just wonder if it could easily be done...
Making it a gani like the wheat basket wouldn't be a good idea because then you'd have to replace all the current gani's with the tail one.. There's got to be some way to modify the hat script to do this....
And arrows and bombs aren't of much use on the 2k1 server yet anyway..

nope. but if someone spent hours slaving away behind a gani editor and added all them stefan might consider it. untill then, no. hes not going to spend his time doing ALL those ganis.

But see.. there are only 2 ganis that I see for the hats which are putting the hat on, and taking it off... The showing of the hat is most likely part of the NPC Server....
(I don't know much about NPC Server yet... so don't kill me if I'm wrong..)
But if the showing of the hat on the character is part of NPC Server, than I think it wouldn't be that hard to show another image in a different place on the player...

What is it I'm looking for?
All I see is the character standing there..
I do see a space on the side for hat gfx though..
If all the gani's are set up to use hats, I assume that the hat graphic is usually set to a transparent empty picture and is changed by scripting.
If that's true, wouldn't it be possible to add tails/back accessories if another template was made and placed in the proper position on the character? (I'm just guessing here... I don't really have much experience with NPC Server at all..and I haven't tried making Gani's using params yet either....)

the hat script could easily be edited to work with tails too
but the problem would be going through all the ganis adding the tail onto them

doing tails/back sheilds is incredibly easy but very time consuming. All you have to use is the ATTRIB fields for that...works just like hats/masks.
