The aspiring young recruit who joins the Ministry of Religion finds himself welcomed into the fold of his chosen diety as a novice to the service. Each diety's service is a form of non-walled cloister, where power and perfection are honed first through their diety, and then the other skills of martial and magical prowess. Novice duties are similar to the chores carried out within the confines of a cloister. Prayer, preparation, study, maintennance of holy structures (shrines in Zormite), and the acquisition of goods.
***Novice Requirements***
-Skills: Prayer, Melee Weapons
-Level: Wisdom 1
-RP requirements: Must have chosen a diety to worship.
As the novice completes his tasks, learning discipline and work, they become qualified to progress to the rank of Monk. A Monk is a person who has proved himself worthy of advanced service to his diety, and gains managerial powers within the cloister. Monks are much more powerful and in touch with their diety, familiar with his strengths and weaknesses, his style, and his spells.
***Monk Requirements***
-Skills: Ledgermain
-Level: Wisdom 15
-Spells: Bless, Curse, Holy Possession, Summon Avatar, Cure Light W., Cure Medium W., Cause Light W., Cause Medium W., Cause Severe W., Holy Word, Holy Orb
-RP requirements: Construct and maintain a roadside shrine to their diety.
Some monks continue service to their diety for so long, and with such competence they become that diety's champion and spokesperson on the planet. They are tremendously attuned to their dieties power and understand the finer points of celestial energy. These are the hierophants, the church elites, the inquisition, the highest authorities of their lord.
***Hierophant Requirements***
-Skills: Ranged Weapons, Alchemistry
-Level: Wisdom 30
-Spells: All priest spells
-Combat: Must take place in at least 3 military engagements
-RP requirements: Take part in LAT'ing a permament building cathedral for their diety. This cathedral need not be fancy, and only one will be allowed on Zormite. Future hierophants may add, renovate, or enhance the previously existing cathedral. |
