Revamping treasure maps

In my opinion.. there should be a complete revamp of treasure maps. They're good for experience.. but I think it's an easy way to get more drops into the game along with the rewarding experience. I had a few ideas.

perhaps, add a treasure chest in higher level maps, or randomly in lower level maps (depending on the level, easy maps have very low chance of having a chest.)

I'm saying a chest instead of a randomly awarded drop in the end, because if you had obviously 8 people entering a map all to have a chance of a reward at the end... bit much.

Chests could give items, not highest tier, but decent. e.g. Belt of Crystal Heart, Ring of High Divinity, on a very low-chance scale. The normal reward from a chest could be 15 sapphires or 5 diamonds.

An easy way of getting necessary (to some people) items into the game, at a steady basis...

Anyone else have ideas to update treasure maps?

I wanted to say that, but a treasure chest is something Tig can probably put together and implement in like two hours.

There is hardly any treasure in our treasure maps. So, sure, whatever.

I'd like to see new drops instead of recycled old junk however.

Completely agreed. But I'd rather see recycled old junk than nothing.

The only new thing that has been added was the crypt, everything else was just fixes/revamps.

And wheres Q4? I don't recall that ever happening.

Edit: As Kale said, recycled old junk > no junk I suppose.
I can't believe we have to actually ask for recycled old junk. When we should be getting good new content.

Why nothing? You want recycled old junk because it's easy and the easier it is the better the chance that Tig will do it? That's horrible.

You should suggest awesome things in hopes that Tig will like it, not mediocre ideas that have a higher chance of being implemented.

Yea. Crypt is great. If we had a few more instances so players have things to rotate off from, with new drops.. it'd be great. Crypt is a good start, and lets not complain past that.

We had a great halloween quest, I enjoyed that. With new items. He's putting in effort we can't complain.

But yeah, treasure maps are expensive now.. but if they were expensive while having epic chests, atleast it'd be reasonable.

~

@ pat, I've given Tig ideas like the random prize box, and he's liked them and said they may be implemented in the future.. but I want to see some immediate, easy changes that he could honestly do in a day or so.

You'd be correct. Brutals were already kind of a hot item when I left, and this would only make them more expensive. However, I do like the idea.

It's a time consuming thing.. giving us something to do on GK.. It's rewarding, even if you don't get an epic item within your first hundred maps.. it gets trade continued. Players will be storming the Haunted House with destruction scrolls, players will have to make dests to sell..

Easy way to get new items into the economy. If new items are made, but with no way to be released.. you can simply stick them in the chest possible loot.

The reason GK is broken is because people TRY to play it for it's PVP/Economy. The fact remains the same, GK is a roleplaying server. This is why it is broken.

But, yeah, whatever... Fix maps!

Yea, we have a booming role-playing populace.

Serious roleplaying on Kingdoms only happens among people who are really into it. Kingdoms is not built around roleplaying in the slightest, unlike servers such as Valikorlia. I say this because it has a fairly complex battle system, and an economy which encourages users to compete for wealth.

The real reason why Kingdoms is 'broken' is because it's grown stagnant. Economic exchange has come to a screeching halt due to problems with monetary inflation, and continued exploitation of experience loopholes has created an imbalance of power that discourages new users from trying to achieve greatness.

In part, players are to blame for running the server into the ground, (I would know, because I was part of it.) but game mechanics are to blame as well, because there are too many elements that have been left unchecked. Even if everyone on the server had their accounts wiped to be on an even playing field again, the same problems would surface in a matter of months.
