As in, if you choose to be a corporate executive dominating smaller businesses then you can do so. or if you wish to be a thug working as a grunt of the underworld then you will have to dodge police and make your way through the city in the sewers to avoid detection. Yes, excellent idea, since we
all want to be petty street thugs or small business merchants instead of large corporate executives as you mentioned.
It can't be that free, there needs to be some sort of status system. Experience for working, or something of the sort. So it provides some sort of social status, if you will.
