The mouse-dragging is actually a bug.
Basically, when you click, it reads it as if the spell menu is open, but it actually isn't. And when you drag, it reads it as if you're dragging a spell-icon, but you actually aren't. You see, you have to click where a spell actually is located to allow the click-dragging to work. For me it's a piece of cake, since I have enough spells to fill up the whole open-spell list and then some. |
