if it was, you shouldn;t see as much of a shadow, and all that jazz...
the excersize was to work on drawing the shading, and shadows sorrectly

we work with white boxes, and bottles painted white, on white paper... but the floor is a dark grey, and he turns the normal lights off, and puts on a bright lamp to the right of the things we are drawing
