How would you cache everything? Just be more careful with what you do. I believe that the effort required for this is far greater than its use.
But we have a playerlist, it works rather fine. I do not see what you want here.
Sounds more usable. At least the program files could be check-summed. But you can do that on your one, just download a fresh set of files and make a list with checksums.
