Yes, it's old school, but it needs to be smoother. It's not so much the straightness that bothers me, more the tile errors. You should fix the waterfall in the bottom left, and re-do the buildling in the top right. Also, a lot of the level is chiefly water, so there is little walking room. Wouldn't be a bad idea to put in more land and make the level easy to roam through. Nice job though, I like to see old style levels. 5/10, for it is a bit bland.
