Yeah quite right. But why the heck does xmms hate graal?
Or is it the other way round?

About XP: you must be very lucky if it's working for more than one hour i guess :/ Beside the preinstalled **** (crashing Nvidia drivers, open RPC port) which force people to invest a lot of time to make their system stable and halfway secure, it contains tons of bugs and design errors. Programs freeze other programs (even when just switching tasks it often freezes), to configure something you need to find 10 different control panels and try to find the right option for your problem, Wordpad is using non-existing fonts in the german version (bug since windows95!) and then the very weird things like the whole webpage is displayed in one line. I think windows2000 and windowsXP are fine if you are not installing anything and don't go into the internet, but if you do then the problems start :/ But it depends on what stuff you are using I guess, when you are lucky and have hardware with good drivers and use programs without so many bugs (e.g. Mozilla, OpenOffice) and install some good Firewall you can use it without too many problems, although it might be easier to switch to Linux directly then.
This is just my personal opinion, I know that most Graal players are using Windows and some of them are probably even happy with that
