Am I missing something with this idea? It just doesn't make sense. How can the same ID be assigned to multiple accounts by email if you can only use one email address for an account? An IP ban is used to try & keep a household banned (or an ISP/region) for a limited amount of time, so the only way the user could get on would be by proxy or to go to a friend's house.
I think I see what you mean. You sign up for an "ID" with your password and email, and you create accounts under that ID. But that is still fundamentally flawed, as you could just go create another email account somewhere. An IP ban would be more effective. |
