Because, say you had two people, both at level 5 wisdom. Let's call them person A and person B.
Now, if person A has 20 power and levels up in wisdom, his base grace will go up by x.
If person B only has 10 power, and levels up in wisdom, his base grace will go up by a smaller amount than x.
So you see, if you have more power and such from an earlier wisdom level, your base grace will skyrocket and probably be -very- high, maybe around 100, by level 20 - whereas with less power, you will only have around 50 base grace by level 20, like lil' old me o_o
That's my theory, anyway. I think it's right...
