Strained from hard battle, Kaimetsu hid quietly in a storeroom deep inside Larimu's castle. His pain was matched by his anger as he dressed a wound on his side.

Damned guards... he thought to himself. Running around like headless chickens while the castle was overrun. Where do they hire these idiots?

Work at the castle had been a good source of income for a few weeks, but the young warrior was regretting ever getting involved with it. He knew that the allied resistance would be weak if even existent right now, and that there were enemies infesting the hallways. If he was going to escape with his life then he would have to be careful.

Footsteps echoed along the corridor outside, and Kaimetsu snapped to attention. Standing and taking a defensive position behind the door he waited as the sound came closer. His sword in hand, he watched and prepared himself as the door handle was slowly turned, and the unknown figure entered...
