This conversation is going badly because we are using 'pk' to describe a million different types of pking.

One:
You get in a fight, you loose, you are pked.

fairly harmless

Two:
Some jerk thinks its funny to laming aura you at an altar or when you are reading PMs, you kill the fool when you learn who it was.

annoying but more or less harmless

Three:
Someone PKs you for drops for 3 hours straight. Well, they PK you because you pked their friend at the altar...

called you kinda brought it on yourself.


Four:
You didn't want to trade that flaming ice dagger, and the fellow who wants it gets pissed and makes your life hell by PKing you all the time saying 'I PWN U - SELL 2 MEH!'

Now, this is not harmless, and while is in breach of the EULA, it is hard to prove, because who really knows if it is #3 or #4.

In short, people sometimes are upset at getting PKed because they gambled and lost. They've Pked, and eventually, they tried to PK someone who outclassed them and got burned for it.

Others, get PKed for lowsy reasons, like they won't sell an item or someone hates their friend etc.


You can argue that in battlemode, anything goes, but I think that is a lazy approach. I think all elements in the game can be abused, from alchemy, to trading to bmode and if something falls into that category, then it is abuse or breach.


It is worth a debate to sort out what the true boundries are
