Listen to waterlord. If you don't want to be pked, get in peaceful mode! I remember when I was new and I had rivals and when they attacked me and I was weak, I made it my goal to become stronger just so I could withstand their attacks. So I did and eventually I could beat them effortlessly.

Also, what the hell does this have to do with real life? You can't pause in real life, so your arguement is void. If you don't like the idea of no pausing, you can go play another server. If you want to stay, stay, but don't complain about something very childish.
