I don't agree with the executable rule x.x.
It says don't post them, don't directly link to them, and don't link to a site that has them.. basically, absolutely NOTHING relating to them.
I think we should at
least be allowed to link to a site that contains executables. For example, it sounds kind of silly for it to be against the rules to link to
www.microsoft.com/blah/blah/IMPORTANTFILES/ so a user could go get an important patch they need, or a link to a Linux FTP site.
If people are too stupid to look at the link before they click it (IE miscrosoft instead of microsoft), it's their own fault. It's a waste of time to have to sit and write out instructions on how to get to a certain link when we could just post a direct link
