Lance is on a distinguished road
A few things:

1) Darenzo - I would advise a complete lobotomy. You'd be better off. Your posts in this thread are adequate bases for this statement.

2) Graal2001 never has been and never will be a "Copy Server." If anything, ideas have been copied from Graal2001 to other servers. The solution to Graal2001's problems is to tweak the amounts (both absolute and relative) of each element that makes Graal2001 what it is.

3) Yes, I've done a lot of behind-the-scenes work, as well as quite a bit in-front-of-the-scenes work, as has been listed already. I'm also attempting to do some more way-paving for a lot better things - I need to speak with Stefan and unixmad about screenshot-approving rights, so my news-posting powers will be more useful. Face it: News just isn't as cool without screenshots. When kingdoms come out, and the new quests, and etc, I want to have prettiful screenshots on the main page.

4) I've just hired a new scripter, and she will be assisting us with scripting. This now puts our "Good, Active Staff" count at about 5. We're still sorely lacking staff, but I refuse to settle for lesser-talented workers. Graal2001 has always had the highest standards - I will be maintaining them.

5) The issue of Unholy Nation has been brought up - UN maintains its high playercount solely because it has such an astronomically high playercount. People who start a game will usually check out the "most popular" server first, assuming it's better. If they find it to the least degree interesting, the inclination is to stay there and not do much exploring. Thus, the playercount is maintained, and the cycle repeats. It's the only viable explanation for how things work there. I have tentatively dubbed it "The cycle of newbies," for one trek to Unholy Nation will subject you to the most hellacious assault by newbies you ever did see. Note the relations in names, the fake guilds who believe themselves to be real guilds, the positions people give themselves in names, etc.

6) RPing - RPing will not be 'required', but it will still be against the rules to interfere with those who ARE RPing.
