Administration
The problem isn't new things. Many new things are going up all the time, making the game have more and more potential, and livening things up. The problem is that the administration is too unorganized and underexperienced to handle the new things, and therefore, they get abused / ruined.
Nowadays everyone (almost) is an admin. I remember opening my playerlist the other day and seeing the entire staff section covering the default window size, which is horrible. I'd suggest bringing Graalian Police to Graal 2001, and having all the other teams run under them, without being on the Staff list.
There's no reason events team needs to be on the Staff list, all they do is run events. Maybe that is important, but if players can't have fun without needing someone there to set up the fun then you lose a lot of potential. However, if players could walk into somewhere and play something just themselves even it would be fun. Work on replay value without needing human supervision. People are always going to screw things up.
A solution for now: Since it's probably very hard to change things without starting over at this point, start by hiring a few very experienced administrators to oversee everything. They need to be responsible, and possibly reviewed by several people you know instead of just 1 person (eliminate the buddy system of hiring admins). Once you have your head admins, they can take care of hiring and firing lesser staff positions (which shouldn't be in staff section) such as ET, FAQ, Police, and whatnot. Make a more organized staff system, instead of just new features, and I'm almost sure it could solve some problems. |
