There are laws against cruel and unusual punishment. He wanted to die as publically as possible, to show how out of hand the federal government is. They shoulda left him on death row longer. Give him time to really freak out, come to terms with what he did and repent.
Wouldn't make his death any more traumatic, but he wouldn't have died a martyr. He'd have died a fool who saw the light too late. |
