Okay, so you know a little. That doesn't change things. You're still insufficiently skilled to properly judge the difficulty involved in producing advanced scripts, and thus incapable of deciding how competent a person must be, based on his creations.

That depends. You can judge the quality of graphics quite easily, because their
very purpose is to be visually impressive. If somebody makes an impressive image, they've succeeded in their task.
Scripts are different. They don't have to be impressive in order to be difficult, and impressive scripts are often easy, or riddled with bad logic. You can't judge them without understanding them. Everybody understands graphics, few understand scripts.
