You just agreed with his statment. He may have gotten your intentions wrong, but your intentions were not the topic of the post. The point is that he thinks the new staff is looking to make BIG updates, instead of little updates... and so, there might be work done... but the work will not be made public till they are ready, where-as, with the old management, updates were made public ASAP.
I think both sides have their unique advantages, and disadvantages.
