Only trouble I've ever had with gmaps is getting them to load at times. You must have screwed up the links while editing the levels or something. Also, if you were using terrain, bombs don't work on it and arrows follow the contour of the landscape. You should make your own scripts for each anyway if you really want to use those NPCs.
