I don't like the idea... since it would allow a "barbarian" to cast stronger spells than a proper mage. I know, the actual strength has nothing to do with rping, but the strength of a spell should only depend on the caster and maybe some items. I don't see preparing work for wands. What I do think of as possible would be wands with attuned and repelled, maybe even as artifacts from the gods (bile: attuned: death, wounding, repelled fire, restoration - or whatever).
Wands which have a little effect are okay, but the whole improving thing would be too strong IMHO. It would be okay if the only thing to change was the time it takes to cast, but I rather think this should be reduced for everyone. |
