Yeah, I think you can still send cash or a cheque, though I never found where those options were...oh well. There used to be the option to pay by phone, but I don't think that option is available anymore. Also, in America, isn't there a certain age you have to be before you can apply for a job?

Depends on your state. I had a job at 12 doing a paper route. 50 bucks a week isn't bad for spending one hour a morning throwing papers onto driveways.
