You're asking for a different genre of a game (which is more like a sub-genre of MMORPG). The fact that leveling and collecting items is a MAJOR part of this game means that these items do create a big impact of unbalance. The game is NOT all about roleplaying. If it were, I wouldn't care since items would not matter. However, such is obviously not the case. If stats and items are going to matter, things should be balanced and fixed.

I was referring to offline single-player RPG's like most of the FF series. These kinds of games HAVE endings. There is only so much you can do. MMORPG's do NOT have endings. They are ment to be constantly added on to.
