About alchemy

would it be possible to have alchemy check if an item is a shield or a helmet or platemail instead of just seeing if the itemname is an exact match?
im just curious...
i know that recipes are gonna be redone but i think it IS a good idea to put like a normal helm in and get a helm of xenibon or helm of lythander |
