Layering Images

how about a layer=# thing for images?
0 would be the default,
drawoverplayer could be 1
drawunderplayer could be -1
and if an images layer# for one image is higher than another image it would be shown as over the other image, and vice versa for if a layer# is lower than another image's layer# |
