The normal function of brackets is to designate a section of text that is apart from the rest of the sentence. This function is senseless if the entire chat is in brackets. I would argue that text such as this:
(I have to go watch TV soon)
is reasonable. However, if IC and OOC text is to be combined in one message, double-brackets should probably be used. |
