It's a power trip plain and simple, 97% don't have a clue how to run a PW much less organize one for a successful online appearence. There are way to little Scripters. Lats and Gats to support so many PWs and the end result will be commonplace theft of levels and scripts because they cannot make their own.
It's already happening and will only get worse as desperation sets in on those who need something for their PW. It is a good move on Graal's part but the problem lies within those who don't think of what is involved or don't have a clue what is involved and just dives in without giving what they are doing some real serious thought before laying out the "bucks". Very few of the new PWs will ever get to the visible list so you really need to think and plan for what you need to do and HAVE THE STAFF BEFORE IT GOES UP not after because there are very few good Lats, Gats and Nats to go around and chances are they will NOT be working on your server.

Also those pws that make it, may even end up repeating what others have, i was helping out a pw one day and all they kept telling me is "we need something like valk" with contant refrence to either valk, era, or un
If servers will not be unique, and organized in such, they will as you said, end up dieing, And also, after people notice what pattern the list will fall in, will it not be much longer before everyone would quit renewing their PWs because they have "no chance" when they are competing with the better servers.
Then this defeats the buisness aspect graal thrived to achieve
Im not saying it was a bad move, because im sure most people know the payoff they (cyberjoueurs, stefan, unixmad) is getting from this, is much less then most people would ever make in a "buisness"
They needed to profit somehow, but the purchasers will in the end complain because they didnt fully read what they should have
and attempt to place the blame on Unix and Stefan. which is where the loop will start all over again.
People even just wanted the power, so needed to shell more out for gold/vip, that would put a smile on my face too, if i owned a game like graal
