This was tried before. Here was the general backstory:
I am the orphaned son of the True King of Graal, raised by samurai barbarians who taught me to use the blade and fight good and track. Then I sought to improve my brain by reading to learn and learning magic under the high wizard of Zormite before moving on to become a noble of Dustari.

RPing doesn't work with Graal. In Pencil and Paper there's a lot of leeway - you can go for an hour doing nothing to advance the plot, just interacting with NPCs, talking to shopkeepers, etc. In Kingdoms, you have to do stuff or you fall behind. Kings have to mine, alchemists dungeoncrawl...the system isn't self-supporting enough to let you just chat and RP.
