It's all about the relative severities of the bashes. Occasionally, for example, certain people have gone crazy in response to a simple piece of criticism. In that case, they are at fault. Sometimes the initiator makes a definite, strong attack and the person responds in kind. Though not encouraged, such retaliation is not usually punished. If you feel that people are bashing you then talk it over with me, and hopefully we will be able to reach an understanding. As I recall, I've only once cautioned you against excessive counterattacking.
