You either posted out of guilt, or in a chance to come clean and hopefully not be banned because you admitted to it. You knew you would be caught sooner or later so you thought you should come clean now.

All that's irrelevent. You're breaking a rule that is supposed to result in an automatic ban. If you aren't banned then justice is not served.
