How about a flag, playersupported? Or a variable for how many times the player has supported this server, ie upgraded with this server as their homeworld and sent the 20% of their upgrade there. Then like on G2K2, you start with more money; on G2K1, more money; on Era, with an alien rifle or whatever...while not necessarily as flexible as your idea, it's 1) a lot easier, 2) there's no definite "I paid $5 for all my plats, and dammit I want them back!" - you got a free gift in thanks for upgrading with us - and 3) gives some servers a better way to encourage upgraders, which makes more money for them, more money for Graal, meaning faster servers and less rate hikes for players.... |
