Last time I checked the actual changing of your characters nick was done server side then localy in that order and that it couldnt be changed like that or it would change back. And it does server side because it would check the name after it was set instead of clientside might be too fast and check the first name b4 it altered I was not sure how nick was set as I dont have access to online server anymore
