Gloves/Gauntlets worn by the orcish horde to raid villages long ago (explaining the con + 2, ac+1 and wc + 1). Armed with the auras of thieves (giving the dex + 2) the orcs were able to carry massive amounts of treasure and travel at high speeds. The orcs would also use to steal food from weak peasants and monsters (explaining the attuned: stealth).
